JAC Motor PH formally unveils all-new JS8 Pro

MANILA: JAC (Jianghuai Automobile Group Company) Motors’ Philippine arm has officially launched the all-new JS8 Pro to the local market.

Previewed at this year’s Manila International Auto Show, the Astara-led automotive distributor said that the latest sport utility vehicle (SUV) represents “the very best” from the brand while offering “space and performance that Filipinos would love.”

Striking yet elegant, the all-new JAC JS8 Pro boasts a bold fascia made up of the striking star waterfall armor front grille (which combines black trim with silver inserts).

Other distinct exterior features include such as the upward-sloping window line, black fender trim. The vehicle — which rides on two-tone, 19-inch alloy wheels — has a proper SUV stance, thanks to its 160-millimeter ground clearance, 19-degree approach and 18-degree departure angle.

Its rear is outfitted with full-length LED taillights and electric tailgate that gives access to the 418-liter cargo area.

Inside, the all-new JAC JS8 Pro welcomes occupants with a spacious and well-equipped cabin. It boasts an electronic panoramic sunroof, black leather appointments, electronically-adjustable front seats, a wireless charging dock, and independent front and rear climate controls.

The crossover is also equipped with a pair of 12.3-inch digital screens (one is the full LCD gauge cluster and the other, a floating, central touchscreen console that is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto-ready and gives access to the 360-degree panoramic camera view.

Powering the seven-seater SUV is 1.5-liter, direct-inject, inline-four turbocharged gasoline engine that has a peak churn of 182 horses and 300 Newton-meters. Such output is sent to the wheels via the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Its host of advanced driver assistance systems are the blind spot detection, lane change assist and door opening warning — among others.

Packaged with a five-year warranty, the all-new JAC JS8 Pro is priced at P1.35 million and can be had under monthly payments as low as P14,245.

To recall, it was only early this month that the Chinese automaker’s local arm introduced the JS6 to the Philippine market.
