JAC Motors PH launches all-new JS6

MANILA: After its preview at the Manila International Auto Show 2024 last April, JAC (Jianghuai Automobile Company Limited) Motors Philippines has officially launched the all-new JS6 to the local market.

In a statement, the Astara-led automotive distributor said that the latest offering — considered as the brand’s flagship sport utility vehicle in the country — is one of its most advanced and innovative models that comes with a competitive price tag.

The vehicle — which measures 4,605 millimeters (mm) long; 1,890 mm wide; and 1,700 mm tall with a 2,720-mm wheelbase — boasts a 160-mm ground clearance, 20-degree approach angle and 19-degree departure angle.

For its exterior, the all-new JAC JS6 comes with high-mounted LED daytime running lights and quad-LED headlights help form the brand’s distinctive corporate face that combines high-tech and modern styling cues with elegant lines.

It also has an upward-sloping beltline, full-length LED taillights, roof rack and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Welcoming occupants inside its cabin are the leather upholstery, two 12.3-inch displays (one as the instrument cluster and the other, an Apple Carplay-and-Android-Auto-ready touchscreen infotainment mated to an eight-speaker setup.

Under the hood of the all-new JAC JS6 is a turbocharged 1.5-liter, direct-injection inline-four gasoline engine that has the peak delivery of 182 horsepower and 300 Newton-meters of torque. The output is sent to the wheels via the six-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Other nifty features of the all-new JAC JS6 are the electronically-adjustable front seats, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, power-folding side mirrors, panoramic sunroof, electronic tailgate, wireless charging pad, dual-zone climate control, and 360-degree camera.

Further, the vehicle is also equipped with six airbags, ISOFIX child-restraint anchors, electronic stability program to complement its advanced driver assistance system that includes automatic emergency brake, lane departure warning, frontal collision warning, blind spot monitoring and intelligent remote light switch.

Priced at P1.38 million, the vehicle is retailed in Pearl White, Carmenere Red, Moonstone Blue, Stylish Black and Obsidian Grey color options.
