JAC PH previews upcoming T9 pickup truck

MANILA: JAC (Jianghuai Automobile Company Limited) Philippines, under the management of Astara Philippines, has provided a preview of its upcoming JAC T9 pickup truck.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • How much horsepower and torque can the JAC T9 produce?

The JAC T9, specifically the Advance trim, can produce up to 170 horsepower and 410 Newton-meters of torque.
  • What suspension type does the JAC T9 use for its rear?

For its rear, the JAC T9 uses a multi-link suspension system.
  • No pricing details were released for the pickup truck for now, but the company hinted that it will be retailed and specced in such a way that it will shake up the local mid-size pickup truck segment. Specifically, it is set to offer good ride quality while being accessible price-wise.

In order to achieve the aforementioned, the JAC T9 Advance 4x2 Zigwheels Philippines got to try out was equipped with a multi-link rear suspension system. With such a type of suspension for its rear, JAC says that the T9 will be able to provide a more pliant ride, at least when compared to other locally available nameplates that mostly use leaf-spring rear ends.
