JAC PH previews upcoming T9 pickup truck

MANILA: JAC (Jianghuai Automobile Company Limited) Philippines, under the management of Astara Philippines, has provided a preview of its upcoming JAC T9 pickup truck.

Specifically, it is set to offer good ride quality while being accessible price-wise.
In order to achieve the aforementioned, the JAC T9 Advance 4x2 Zigwheels Philippines got to try out was equipped with a multi-link rear suspension system. With such a type of suspension for its rear, JAC says that the T9 will be able to provide a more pliant ride, at least when compared to other locally available nameplates that mostly use leaf-spring rear ends.

Additionally, the yet-to-be-launched JAC T9 utilizes a 2.0-liter turbodiesel mill that is able to generate up to 170 horsepower and 410 Newton-meters of torque. With the said output, the JAC model can be comparable to the entry to mid-level Ford Ranger and has a fair bit more power than the 2.4-liter versions of the Toyota Hilux.

For the Advance trim, the T9 will come with a 10.4-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, leather upholstery, a drive mode selector, a bedliner, LED exterior fixtures, rear air-conditioning vents, USB charging ports (front and rear), a set of 18-inch alloy wheels, and a push-to-start button - among others.

To note, JAC Philippines shared that the first versions to be released locally will be the ones equipped with 4x2 drivetrains. The exact launch date is yet to be announced, but the company shared that it will be happening soon.
