Auto Nation Group rolls out all-new Jeep Renegade and new Compass
MANILA: Auto Nation Group (ANG), the official distributor of Jeep vehicles in the Philippines, has introduced the all-new Jeep Renegade and the new Jeep Compass. These subcompact front-wheel-drive SUVs were first made available for public viewing last May 23 in all Jeep dealer outlets — specifically in Cebu, Clark Pampanga, Alabang, and EDSA Greenhills.
Through these two new Jeep variants, the Philippine market can benefit from the ASEAN-China Free Trade Agreement. The vehicles are expected not just to demonstrate ruggedness, but also exhibit a sophisticated and thrilling driving experience.
The all-new Jeep Renegade shares similarities in youthful vibe and uniqueness with the Jeepster. Jeep says in a release that the bold color of this model is ideal for young professionals aiming to buy their first vehicle, modern-day mothers, and young entrepreneurs.
The all-new Jeep Renegade features daytime running lamps, sporty headlamps, 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, and a classic seven-slotted bright surround grille. All of these enable the Renegade to exhibit a modern appeal while maintaining the sporty and rough stance that all Jeep vehicles possess.
The Renegade also has a six-speaker infotainment system with Bluetooth and integrated voice command for more dynamic navigation. It also has ample cargo space with a compartment lamp and cover. The vehicle can be easily filled up with luggage or passengers through the 60/40 folding rear seats. The 1.4L Tjet turbo engine with Engine Stop Start powers this Jeep model. It is partnered with a seven-speed dual dry clutch transmission that generates 230Nm of torque and a power output of 147hp.
Meanwhile, the new Jeep Compass, first previewed in the 2019 Manila International Auto Show, is the latest addition to the Jeep lineup of high-performance vehicles. This model is ideal for career-driven professionals or anyone seeking to have a work-life balance in an urban setting.
The Jeep Compass has 17-inch silver aluminum wheels with all-season tires and a classic seven-slot grille that provides strength to its muscular profile. Similar to the Renegade, it also has daylight running lamp and a sporty headlamp that ensures a pleasurable driving experience. Through the dual pane sunroof, anyone can have a breath of fresh air while traveling. The LED tail lamps provide emphasis to the rear, and it showcases the robust design of the vehicle.
Inside, the Compass is fully equipped with a six-speaker infotainment system and a seven-inch touch-screen display, which are both powered by the UConnect 4 system with Apple Carplay. Navigation becomes more accessible and convenient through the integrated voice command.
The 1.3L MultiAir Turbo Engine with Engine Stop Start powers the Jeep Compass with 25 Nm of torque and 162hp. The engine is mated to a seven-speed dual dry clutch transmission.
Similar to all Jeep models, the Compass and Renegade boast of active safety features. Both Jeep models possess next-generation airbags, Parkview rear back-up camera, ParkSense rear park assist system, electronic stability control, electronic roll mitigation, electric power steering, electronic park brake, battery rundown protection, anti-lock four-wheel disk brakes, and all-speed traction control. These features ensure a safe and convenient driving experience and parking.
ANG also implements regular disinfection and safety guidelines for employees and for customers who are visiting the dealer outlets and service centers of Jeep vehicles nationwide.
