Jeep unveils US-spec 2023 Compass

MANILA: The 2023 Jeep Compass sets new benchmarks in terms of performance, comfort, and practicality, and it features exquisite interior and exterior design. Available for the first time on the Jeep Compass, the 2.0-liter direct injection turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine boasts premium on-road qualities. The most technologically advanced Jeep Compass ever is the first to offer a wide range of cutting-edge safety and security features, including the available Highway Assist semi-autonomous driving system, parallel and perpendicular park assist, Traffic Sign Recognition systems, as well as a 360-degree Surround View camera.

The 2023 Jeep Compass is available in five models: Sport, Latitude (Altitude package available), Latitude LUX, Limited ((RED) Edition and High Altitude packages available), and Trailhawk.

All 2023 Jeep Compass trims come standard with Drowsy Driver Detection, Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking, Pedestrian/Cyclist Automatic Emergency Braking, Active Lane Management, Blind-spot Monitoring, and Rear Cross Path detection systems. Among the next-generation technologies offered on the Jeep Compass are the available 10.25-inch frameless full-color thin-film transistor (TFT) digital cluster, a standard 10.1-inch digital infotainment touchscreen, the five times faster Uconnect 5, standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an available wireless charging pad.

The engine of the 2023 Jeep Compass produces 200hp and 221lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a highly efficient, eight-speed automatic transmission.

The engine of the 2023 Jeep Compass delivers excellent fuel economy with engine stop-start (ESS) technology, low emissions, fast 0-100kph launch performance, and improved drivability. The engine is standard on all trims.

Jeep Active Drive 4x4 system is also standard on all variants. The 2023 Jeep Compass also has a fully detachable rear axle and power-transfer unit (PTU), which are unique in the class, to provide 4x4 vehicles better fuel efficiency.

The exterior of the 2023 Jeep Compass has been improved and combines exquisite craftsmanship with classic Jeep styling. Several signature components have been restyled to provide distinctive new looks that honor both off-road toughness and on-road class. The 2023 Jeep Compass provides improved visibility as it is equipped with the latest LED lighting technology. All variants come with front LED reflector headlamps as standard. Latitude LUX, Limited, and Trailhawk variants also include premium LED projector headlamps and taillamps, while Latitude and above variants are also equipped with LED fog lamps and automatic high-beam headlamp control.

The 2023 Jeep Compass is available in nine exterior colors: Billet Silver, Bright White, Diamond Black, Granite Crystal, Laser Blue Pearl, Redline Red, Sting Grey, Black, and Black and Steel Grey.

The High Altitude Edition's sophisticated exterior styling includes a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, body-color painted side flares, front and rear lower fascias with Neutral Grey highlights, a full suite of premium LED lighting, and 19-inch painted Granite Crystal aluminum wheels.

The Sport and Latitude variants are fitted with new 17-inch wheels.

There is also a special-edition (RED) model, which is based on the premium Limited trim. It has 19-inch painted aluminum wheels, body-color painted roof and lower cladding, black leather-trimmed bucket seats, Uconnect 5 with a 10.1-inch digital touchscreen display, and unique (RED) badging.

Up to four modes are offered by Standard Selec-Terrain for the finest four-wheel-drive performance in any weather condition. Auto, Snow, Sand/Mud modes are standard on all 4x4 variants. Rock mode is exclusive to Trailhawk variant.

The 2023 Jeep Compass Trailhawk delivers exceptional Trail Rated 4x4 capability with its class-leading 20:1 crawl ratio, one-inch factory lift, skid plates, aggressive off-road tires, Jeep signature red front and rear tow hooks, 30-degree approach angle, 24-degree breakover angle, 34-degree departure angle, hill-descent control, up to 19 inches of water fording, and up to 2,000lb towing capability when properly equipped.
