After being cited as one of the most underrated four-wheelers in the Philippines market in the recent past, the new Forte is all set to impress the auto enthusiasts and shut the critics up.

The all-new Forte has made its comeback in a completely new package that was revealed at the 2019 Manila International Auto Show. Time around, it seems as if the sedan is on the right track to make a mark.

With a feature-packed cabin, enticing new looks, and a spirited power mill under the hood, the all-new Forte is ready to provide with a lively experience. So, what does it really come with? Let’s explore all the interesting features that the new Forte has on offer.

Characteristics on the outside

On the outside, the Kia Forte depicts modernization. Its remarkable road presence is something that grabs eyeballs in an instant. Made to perform on a daily basis and offer an invigorated feeling every single day, the Kia Forte is a perfect blend of function and fashion. Moreover,

the silhouette of the sedan can’t be more enticing than what we have here courtesy of the long hood and a nice-looking roofline that sweeping gently into the rear section. Major features that it sports on the outside include LED headlights, fog lamps with big-black housings, LED tail lamps, power adjustable ORVMs, shark fin antenna, silver-garnished window panes, and five dual-spoke 16- or 17-inch alloys.

Peculiarities on the inside

The cabin of the Forte is quite sophisticated and advanced thanks to the clean aesthetic lines and metallic trim pieces. The instrument cluster with a 3.5-inch LCD multi-function display is well-equipped with necessary features and lets the driver know about the vehicle in the best possible way. There is a large 8-inch floating monitor at the centre which caters to your entertainment needs.

Additionally, it gets electric chromic rear view mirror, second-row ventilation option, power seats with lumbar support, and turbine-inspired AC vents. For a relaxed drive, it gets a few storage spaces including cup holders at the front and inside the rear armrest as well.

The boot capacity is 502-litre which can be extended by folding down the rear seats in a 60:40 split configuration. The Kia Forte also gets a smart key option, thus, making life even more convenient. Besides the aforementioned amenities, the Kia Forte GT sports red stitching on the shift knob, seats, and the flat-bottom multi-functional steering wheel.

Stuff under the hood

While we're speaking of the Kia Forte, we must mention that this South Korean sedan performs just as good as it looks. The Kia Forte specs tell us that the refined and exciting performance comes from a 1.6-litre T-GDI (Turbocharged Gasoline Direct Injection) motor on the GT model and a 1.6-litre D-CVVT (Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing) mill on the regular EX and LX trims.

Depending on the model you choose, your Kia Forte can have a maximum power of 204 PS coming out of its engine. Moving on to the transmission aspect, while the EX and LX variants get a six-speed automatic unit, the GT, on the other hand, comes with a seven-speed dual clutch transmission.

Features that make it secure

Kia has done a fair enough job by using smarter materials to secure the occupants. It boasts torsional rigidity with hot-stamped & high-strength steel. The features like Anti-lock braking system (ABS) and a rear camera with park guide are offered as standard. Advanced safety features available on the higher-end variants include six airbags (on the GT variant), parking distance warning front and rear (GT), hill start assist (GT and EX) and electronic stability control (GT and EX).

At last, coming to the Kia Forte price, while the top-of-the-line GT trim retails at Php 1,650,000, the EX and LX variants have a price tag of Php 1,195,000 and 1,095,000, respectively.
