MANILA: The 2023 season will mark the comeback of Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia after spending three years on the sidelines as a result of COVID-19's outbreak.

    The new Lamborghini Huracán STO is the "most track-focused, street-legal version" of the Lamborghini Huracán super sports car.

    The Lamborghini Squadra Corse Huracan Super Trofeo EVO and Huracan GT3 EVO, which won the 24 Hours of Daytona three times and the 12 Hours of Sebring twice, served as inspiration for the Huracan STO (Super Trofeo Omolgata), a super sports vehicle that is legal for the road.

    The Lamborghini Huracan STO is powered by a naturally aspirated V10 engine that generates 640hp and 565Nm of torque. It can accelerate from a standstill to 100kph in just 3.0 seconds and from a standstill to 200kph in 9.0 seconds. It can attain a top speed of 310kph.

    The Huracan STO has the adrenaline and emotion of a race car. It gives the emotion of a track experience of every drive with its outstanding aerodynamic efficiency, extensive use of lightweight materials, unrestricted steering, and excellent braking performance.

    Every feature of the Huracan STO is based on the aerodynamic efficiency and lightweight technology required in motorsports. The Huracan STO epitomizes Lamborghini’s design philosophy of utility over form, which is especially valid for a street-legalized racecar.

    The Huracan STO is the result of a collaboration among Lamborghini’s Research & Development, Squadra Corse, and Centro Stile departments, with each line and feature aesthetically pleasing while being tuned for the best driving performance.

    The Huracan STO has a cofango air ducts, front splitter, and louvers, as well as a shark fin, adjustable rear wing, rear engine hood with air scoop, and rear fender with NACA intake.

    More than 75% of the Huracan STO's outer panels are made of carbon fiber, which has the advantages of complicated structures produced as a single piece for higher integrity and lighter construction thanks to fewer attaching points.

    The Huracan STO’s racing spirit is highlighted by three new driving modes that focus on high-performance driving settings.

    A redesigned front trunk for storing helmets and a rear arch with four-point seat belts are two features that underline the Huracan STO's racing heritage. Superior titanium alloys are used to create the rear arch. Compared to conventional stainless steel rear arches, it weighs 40% less.

    Meanwhile, it can be recalled that the Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica was unleashed this year.

    The Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica was designed to become an outstanding super sports car for both road and track. It is equipped with a powerful engine, similar to that of the Huracán STO. When compared to the Huracán EVO rear-wheel drive, the Huracán Tecnica’s weight has a 10-kg weight reduction, 30cv power increase, better aerodynamics, 35% rear downforce increase, and 20% drag reduction.

    The Tecnica's moniker symbolizes the Huracan's enhanced technological capability which is clearly recognizable with its new aesthetics accentuating increased aerodynamics for boosted performance, stability, and ease of usage, particularly on a circuit.

    The powertrain, which takes its engine from the Huracan STO and gains 30cv over the Huracan EVO rear-wheel drive (RWD), produces 565Nm of torque at maximum 6,500 rpm and accelerates from zero to 100kph in 3.2 seconds.
