Learn Carigami with Infiniti
MANILA: You’re never too old and it’s never too late to learn new stuff, especially now that we’ve all got time (a lot of it) on our hands.
So, it's the perfect time to learn the very complex art of paper folding, the automotive way. This is Carigami by Nissan’s luxury arm Infiniti.
Still drawing from Japanese heritage and dramatic design, Infiniti has released origami-like designs of the Q50, QX80, and the FX crossover that can be downloaded here and produced at home in 1:27 scale.
All you have to do is download and print the templates, get a craft knife, some glue, and assemble.
"In this unprecedented time where citizens of the world are doing their part to fight COVID-19 by staying at home, we wanted to develop something that will help ease the boredom, while having a bit of fun." said Phil York, general manager of Infiniti global brand and marketing, "Our hope is that lovers of cars and crafts alike will enjoy Carigami,"
The team behind Carigami aims to give people an outlet for their creativity during this time and while they’re social distancing.
After successfully making the Carigami, participants are invited to upload the images of their work on social media using the hashtags #ParkitforNow and #Carigami.
Have fun!
