Lexus PH brings in new IS 300h hybrid sport sedan

MANILA: Lexus Philippines rolled out the newest addition to the IS lineup, the new version of the Lexus IS 300h.

The newly launched sport sedan is motivated by a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder powertrain, paired to the intelligent Lexus E-CVT. The petrol engine is combined with an equally powerful electric motor to deliver 220hp and 221Nm of torque. The IS 300h has the ability to accelerate from standstill to 100kph in 8.7 seconds. Despite its outstanding road performance, the vehicle delivers impressive fuel efficiency. For lesser emission and lower fuel consumption, the driver can use the EV drive mode to enable the electric motor at slow speeds.

The Lexus IS 300h is built with a first-class suspension system that was fine-tuned at the Toyota Technical Center Shimoyama Test Track. It comes with a double-wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension, complemented by the vehicle's range of safety technologies including anti-lock braking system (ABS), vehicle stability control (VSC), hill start assist (HSA), and traction control system.

The vehicle is also equipped with driver assistance features to provide convenience and confidence in every drive. It comes with a parking assist monitor that displays guide lines for easier parking in tight spaces. The IS 300h is also installed with clearance sonar to alert the driver if there is any obstruction when reversing. To guarantee enhanced protection to all its occupants, the cabin is equipped with eight sensor-controlled airbags.

The Lexus IS 300h is designed with sharply chiseled lines to create better aerodynamics. It also features a set of bold 18-inch alloy wheels with 235/45 R18 tires. The vehicle is also engineered with enhanced brakes to increase its stopping power. The IS 300h comes in seven exterior color selections including three new Chromatic colors: Sonic Titanium, Sonic Iridium, and Sonic Chrome. This IS variant also gets exclusive body colors that include Sonic Quartz and Red Mica Crystal Shine. It is also available in Graphite Black Glass Flake and Heat Blue Contrast Layering.

The sedan's dashboard is highlighted by an eight-inch touch audio display with Apple CarPlay support, Android Auto integration, and Miracast. To further enhance the in-cabin entertainment, the IS 300h comes with a premium 10-speaker audio system. The cabin is even made luxurious with black synthetic leather upholstery with eight-way power adjustable seats for the driver and the front passenger.

The IS 300h uses a power tilt and  telescoping tiller and leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters. It also comes with a multi-information TFT display with eco-driving indicator light and zone display that allows the driver to manage the fuel economy.

The pricing for the luxurious IS 300h starts at P2.978 million.
