Lexus Philippines adds a 5.0L GS F in Family
MANILA: With the launch of Lexus GS F, this weekend proved worth-full for Philippines auto industry. As in addition to the luxury sports sedan from Lexus, our auto market also received another performance buff from the house of Nissan, in the form of GT-R. On the performance front, Lexus Philippines already features as many as six players including, IS 350 F, GS 350 F, RX F, CT F, NX TURBO F and RC F.

The GS F is Lexus flagship model and was introduced recently in the 2015 North America International Auto Show and since then it has been a hot favorite with the speed lovers. The car highlighted a number of unique features both on the inside and outside, all improving its performance and comfort level. As mentioned earlier about is flagship status, the 2016 Lexus GS F comes with a high price tag attached. Lexus Philippines gave away the following price details of its GS range, GS 350 F Sport will now be available at PhP 5,288,000, the GS 450h is the costliest in range with PhP 5,778,000 and lastly Lexus GS F lies in mid of both with a price tag of PhP 7,588,000.
Apart from the new GS F, the Philippines market will now also get a revamped versions of GS 450h and GS 350 F. Though, their up-gradation is only limited to the outer profile that includes re-styled headlight and tail light, plus a tweaked bumper. As for Lexus GS F, the car carries an aggressive design language starting from its front bumper to its trunk lid. Unlike another Lexus, the GS F is constructed with a good proportion of carbon fiber in hand, as you can find the same used in its standard spindle grille, air dams, and trunk lid lip. The car stands on fork-shaped aggressive alloy wheels wrapped in 255/35R19 front and 275/30R19 rear tires.
Entering inside the 2016 Lexus GS F gives one a futuristic feel, as the car comes loaded with high-tech features. Starting from driver's arena, you'll see a three-spoked multi-functional steering wheel with an F batching (reminding you of its power). The instrument binnacle features high-quality display screen, keeping driver fully aware of the car’s function. Also, on the dash you'll find Lexus Remote Touch Interface controlled 12.3-inch infotainment screen, keeping you informed and entertained. As for the upholstery, you'll find a mix of leather, chrome, and Alcantara trim.
Powered with a 5.0L V8 mill the new GS gives away whooping figures of 473 PS and 527 Nm, all this with the help of 8-speed sport AT. Paddle shifters option is also available, allowing one to control the car manually and get a taste of its powerful machinery. The car comes armed with upsized slatted discs and six-piston calipers, both providing better braking and handling. Its best -in-class suspension and torque vectoring differential keeps the car grounded on high speeds.
On the safety front, you'll find a number of features like lane keep assist, blind spot monitor, radar cruise control, and adaptive high beam lights. Further, increasing your confidence behind wheels is its pre-collision system that comes with pedestrian protection and automatic braking system.
