KEY TAKEAWAYS
What is the Philippine-spec Lotus Emeya's launch date?
The model shall be formally unveiled on September 16, 2024.What powers the Lotus Emeya?
The vehicle is equipped with full-time all-wheel drive with Lotus ICC Intelligent Torque Distribution electric motors.Based on the invite sent to Zigwheels Philippines, the Autohub Group-led company said that the upcoming model — the second electrified offering under the brand — will be formally launched on September 16. It will coincide with the opening of the brand’s dealership.
Although Lotus Cars Manila has yet to share details pertaining to the four-door electric hyper GT, here are some bits of information about the arriving model.
The vehicle sports an active front grille, rear diffuser and rear spoiler that complements its “hyperstance” (low center of gravity). It also comes with an electronically-controlled air suspension system.
In addition, the Lotus Emeya is fitted with a new luxury thread made from repurposed fibers from the fashion industry — as well as PVD aluminum, Alcantara, Nappa leather, and Ultrafabrics PU.
Its cabin also has a KEF audio system that includes the Uni-Q speaker design and Uni-Core subwoofer enclosure, as well as Dolby Atmos-enabled 3D surround sound (first seen in the Lotus Eletre Hyper SUV).
Providing power to the Lotus Emeya’s top-spec option are two electric motors (with full-time all-wheel drive and Lotus ICC Intelligent Torque Distribution) that can dish out as much as 905 horses, and 985 Newton-meters of torque.
Such a mill lets the car reach a peak speed of more than 250 kilometers per hour (kph) and can go 0-100 kph in under 2.8 seconds. Energy given by the motors are from the 102-kilowatt-hour battery.
The pricing of the incoming Lotus Emeya will likely be less than the P10.499 million-price tag seen in the Philippine-spec Eletre.
