While Lotus Cars Manila has yet to share pertinent details about the upcoming electrified sport utility vehicle (SUV), here is what to expect with the upcoming offering.
Touted as the electric Hyper SUV with a racecar DNA, the model — which was revealed globally last year — is offered in three trims abroad.
Should the country be getting the top-spec option, the vehicle will have the Eletre 675 motor mated to a two-speed transmission that can deliver as much as 975 horsepower (hp). The powertrain combination allows the vehicle to reach a peak of 260 kilometers per hour (kph) and go 0-100 kph in 2.95 seconds. The battery fitted in the Lotus Eletre top-of-the-line version allows the vehicle to cover 500 kilometers (km) based on Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure standards.
However, if the country would have the midrange or baseline model, then the Philippine-bound Lotus Eletre will have a peak churn of 603 hp, speeds up to 250 kph and reach 100kph from standstill in 4.5 seconds. The range of the entry-level Lotus is 600 km while midgrade variation, 580 km.
In terms of cargo space, the Lotus Eletre can dish out 688-1,532 liters of boot space and an additional 46 liters in the front storage to carry the charging cables and other smaller items.
Further, the vehicle could also have a retractable tow bar that can haul loads of up to 2,250 kilograms.
Its interior will likely be covered in Nappa leather and re-fiber textile, including the 20-way adjustable seats that have smart heating and massage modes.
