Lotus unveils Eletre for PH market
MANILA: After having its global debut last year, the Lotus Eletre has finally arrived in the Philippines.

Lotus Philippines will offer the Eletre R (the model’s top-of-the-line version) to the market.
“This launch marks another milestone in the partnership of Autohub Group and Lotus. I am so thrilled to unveil the Eletre, an innovative and progressive electric vehicle, especially during such a momentous time in the local electric vehicle landscape. The 11th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit was such a stimulating display of the potential of electric vehicles, and I am so glad that Autohub and Lotus were a part of it,” Autohub Group of Companies President Willy Tee Ten said.
For his part, Lotus Cars Manila General Manager Jefferson Lizardo shared the same excitement over the vehicle’s launch in the country. “I am very proud of the Lotus team, and thankful for the collaborations between Autohub Group and Group Lotus all these years and for making today's launch possible,” he noted.
Powering the vehicle is the Eletre 675 Motor mated to a two-speed transmission that dishes out 905 horsepower — letting the SUV run 0-100 kilometers per hour (kph) in 2.95 seconds and reach a top speed of 260 kph. When fully charged, the Lotus Eletre R can cover as much as 500 kilometers of road (based on Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure standards).
Aside from that, the Eletre R benefits from the Lotus Dynamic Handling Pack as it comes with Intelligent Active Roll Control and Active Rear Steering.
The Lotus Eletre R also features boot space of up to 1,532 liters with an additional 46 liters of storage in the front compartment.
In addition, the SUV comes with a retractable tow bar that can pull loads of up to 2,250 kilograms.
