LTFRB closes Central and NCR offices in MECQ, online transactions open
MANILA: The LTFRB (Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board) has temporarily closed its Central and NCR (National Capital Region) offices in light of the region’s return to MECQ (modified enhanced community quarantine).
“Pansamantala munang titigil sa pagtanggap ng walk-in transactions ang mga opisina ng Central at NCR ng LTFRB (We will temporarily suspend walk-in transactions at the Central and NCR offices of LTFRB),” the agency said in a statement.
The closure will last until August 18, the last day of MECQ in NCR. In the meantime, 50% of the Board’s workforce will be on a work-from-home program while the other half will physical be at the office.
While the physical office is closed, online transactions can be accommodated via the LTFRB’s PTOPS (Public Transport Online Processing System) website. It will be able to facilitate requests for a special permit, correction of a typographical error, request for confirmation of unit/s, request for franchise verification, request for issuance or extension of provisional authority, and legal concerns/query on hearing schedule or status.
Transactions may be completed by downloading the request form from the LTFRB website and then following the succeeding instructions.
