LTO announces system for orderly registration during GCQ

MANILA: After extending the validity of vehicle registrations and drivers' licenses  that have expired since 16 March 2020 in a previous advisory,  a new set of guidelines has been released for motorists to observe before they head to their nearest Land Transportation Office (LTO) branch .

Owners of motor vehicles with plate numbers or conduction sticker that end with number 3 (or March), and with middle or second to the last digit of plate number ending in 7,8,9,0, you may go to LTO offices during the first (1st) or second (2nd) week upon resumption of offices.

For vehicles with plate numbers, conduction stickers ending with number 4 (or April), owners can bring their vehicles to the LTO offices for registration by third (3rd), fourth (4th), or fifth (5th) week upon resumption of operations.

If your plate number, conduction sticker ends with number 5 (or May), registration will be processed by sixth (6th), seventh (7th), or eighth (8th) week upon resumption of offices.

For new vehicle registration, no penalty shall be collected from owners whose vehicle was purchased from 05 March 2020 (must present sales invoice) up to the date of work resumption of the agency or if the sale is reported within fifteen (15) calendar days upon work resumption.

Temporary Operator’s Permits (TOPs) that have expired from 16 March 2020 up to the date of resumption of work are no longer valid and will not authorize bearer. Computation of incurred penalties will only begin from the date of resumption of work. The settlement/adjudication of apprehension cases for such TOPs is automatically extended for thirty (30) calendar days upon resumption of work.

Certificates of Emission Compliance from private emission testing centers (PETCs) and medical certificates which have not been submitted to the LTO since 16 March 2020, but has expired from the same period will still be accepted within 60 calendar days from work resumption.
