LTO assures Pres. Marcos Jr. of sufficient DL card supply

MANILA: Land Transportation Office (LTO) Chief Attorney Vigor Mendoza II assured President Ferdinand Marcos Junior that the agency has a sufficient supply of driver’s license cards.

Per the LTO, it has more than enough supply of number plates.In a meeting, the LTO boss told the country’s figurehead that the land transport bureau is enjoying a continuous supply of plastic cards for the printing of driver’s licenses and was informed that the goal of addressing the backlog on plastic-printed driver’s license in July this year is on the right track .
“Ipinakita natin sa ating Pangulo na as far as the supply is concerned ng driver’s license cards ay dire-diretso po tayo hanggang end of the year. We have sufficient driver’s license cards to support the demand until the end of the year (We showed our President that as far as the supply of driver’s license cards is concerned, we can continue until the end of the year. We have sufficient driver’s license cards to support the demand until the end of the year),” Mendoza noted.
Aside from the plastic license cards, Mendoza — along with Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Jaime Bautista — briefed the President on the status of the measures to address the backlog on license plates.

We also reported to the President that the DOTr has already initiated the bidding of the engraver machines to avoid breakdowns and continue the production of license plates (So, as for the plates, we updated the President as far as supply is concerned, we have more than enough.
