Vigor Mendoza II, the agency is expecting that the number of vehicles on the road will increase as the holiday season approaches, especially in crowded areas such as malls and terminals.
“I will ensure that your LTO will make the most of our personnel to enforce traffic rules and assist our motorists where they are needed the most,” Mendoza stated.
In order to maintain a smooth flow of traffic despite the spike in vehicle volume during the holiday season, the LTO will be working together with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and the Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group.
The LTO will also keep an eye on the safety and security of motorists and commuters from accidents and other unfavorable situations.
Mendoza asked motorists to exercise patience and plan their trips ahead by looking for alternate routes to avoid congested areas.
