Only those who have renewed or applied for a driver’s license within the National Capital Region can use the new online inquiry and request system for backlogged driver’s license cards.According to LTO-NCR Regional Director Roque Verzosa III, the new system can be accessed through the official LTO-NCR website.
The government official likewise stated the added convenience it can provide for clients. It is likewise touted by the agency as a significant step in modernizing its services.
As mentioned above, the new online system is able to check the current status of a driver’s license card, and it can also receive printing requests for clients who have yet to secure their driver’s licenses in a plastic card form.
For now, however, the new system is only available for people who have renewed or applied for driver’s licenses within NCR. Additionally, only a select number of licensing facilities can handle the requests and claims for backlogged driver’s license cards via the online service.
Per Versoza, the said facilities include driver’s license renewal offices in Ali Mall in Cubao and Robinsons Place Manila. The aforementioned is accessible through the Viber messaging app. However, the agency lost access to the said service back in July 2024 after it was flooded with more than 9,000 queries and requests.
