MANILA: The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has warned the public of people offering fake improvised plate authorization letters.

Per LTO, motorists should be cautious and critical.Per the country’s land transportation bureau, the aforementioned documents are not valid and are against the law.
“Huwag pong basta-basta makikipag-transaksyon sa mga indibidwal o grupo na hindi awtorisado (never transact with unauthorized individuals or groups),” LTO Region 4A CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) said in a social media post.
“Para sa inyong kaligtasan at upang maiwasan ang anumang legal na suliranin, makipag-ugnayan lamang po sa mga opisyal na tanggapan ng LTO para sa anumang transaksyon o pagkuha ng kaukulang dokumento. Tandaan, ang tamang impormasyon at serbisyo ay makukuha lamang mula sa LTO (for your safety and to avoid any legal problems, please contact only the official offices of the LTO for any transaction or obtaining the corresponding document. Remember, correct information and services are only available from the LTO),” it added.
The agency reminded motorists to be cautious and critical.
