Making the app-grade: myTOYOTA gives heightened mobile experience
MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP), the country’s perennial auto leader in sales, today debuted its upgraded mobile app, myTOYOTA. The timely digital tool "lets existing and would-be Toyota owners enjoy the full cycle of the Toyota life from product and service inquiries, to car maintenance and upgrades, after-sales deals and assistance, and even vehicle trade-ins.”
Amid the pandemic and the necessary health protocols enforced to curtail the spread of the virus, a digital pivot and evolution has happened in earnest for many industries — the auto sector among them — and TMP is among those leading the charge.
“With just a few taps, users can explore TMP’s vehicle lineup, browse the latest car deals, book car appointments, buy vehicle upgrades and packages, and even get access to services like roadside assistance, all through their mobile devices anytime, anywhere,” the company said in a release.
myTOYOTA, available for download for Android and iOS users, is “a unified platform to enable (users) to access all information and services they need from car buying to after-sales and maintenance with just a single app.”
For customers looking for a new vehicle, the app makes it easy to explore the Toyota lineup even while using mobile devices. A virtual showroom displays vehicles and their specifications, while also affording a 360-degree virtual view of each. It goes a step further through a configurator which lets users personalize their dream car — adjust color options, choose compatible accessories and other items for their vehicle. Customers can even choose the aforementioned accessories and “add them to cart.”
myTOYOTA can also help with the renewal of auto insurance (while being appraised of its status through a link to the e-policy). An insurance renewal page can provide a detailed computation while letting the user register a renewal request.
Meanwhile, the app also assists in the easy scheduling of servicing appointments. Vehicle owners can check for available service schedules and select their preferred date and time for easy tracking of PMS schedules. "With a quick click, users will not only be able to access their car’s service history and repair status but also browse, order and check out service packages — promos and all — via the app. They can also cancel or reschedule the service booking.”
An owner can check out the vehicle's warranty, digital logbook, and even service history and schedule. myTOYOTA app’s inbox also allows real-time updates on promos, news, and announcements.
TMP also announced that a myTOYOTA Wallet functionality is in the works to further make it a true app for ownership and maintenance.
Said TMP First Vice President Sherwin Chualim, “Now more than ever, the need for accessible products and services is more crucial to better serve our customers’ needs. Part of our commitment to providing ever-better products and services is continuously improving the customer experience — from inquiring about your dream Toyota, acquiring and taking care of your vehicle, and moving on to your next Toyota — through any of our 71 Toyota dealerships nationwide or through our amplified digital touchpoints. With the new myTOYOTA app, life with Toyota is made easy, worry-free, and happier in a tap.”
