Mazda CX-30 may start around Php 1.3 to Php 1.6 million in the PH

MANILA: A lot of hype and anticipation was built around the Mazda CX-30 before the crossover made its way out of the dark. As soon as the all-new Mazda CX-30 came out, rumours and speculations started floating around about whether or not the newest Mazda crossover will replace the CX-3 or sell alongside its sibling. While the confusion hasn't ended yet, the leaked pricing of the CX-30 in Japan hints towards bad times ahead for the CX-3. The leaked pricing reveals that there isn't much difference between the pricing of the CX-3 and the CX-30. And, that could just be an indication of the automaker scrapping the CX-3 shortly.

Coming on to the leaked pricing of the Mazda CX-30 in Japan, the crossover may start at ¥ 2,392,500 and go up to ¥ 3,305,500. On the other hand, the price of the Mazda CX-3 in Japan starts at ¥ 2,127,600 for the base model and reaches ¥ 3,062,080 for the range-topping variant. If we compare the prices of the two crossovers in Japan, the difference ranges from 8% to 12% for various variants. Moving, the Mazda CX-3 in the Philippines retails for Php 1,300,000, which is around 16% more than the price of the same variant in Japan. With that said, we expect the Mazda CX-30 to make its way to the Philippine market with a starting price of Php 1.3 to 1.6 million, if and when it launches.

Just in case you are still not familiar with the all-new Mazda CX-30, the crossover stands 4,395 mm long, 1,795 mm wide, and 1,540 mm tall. Furthermore, the wheelbase measures 2,655 mm and the crossover boasts a high 175 mm of ground clearance. The CX-30 also flaunts the KODO design language and Polymetal Gray Metallic, Soul Red Crystal, and Machine Gray finishes.

While the suspension setup that comprises of MacPherson Strut and Torsion Beam provides the occupants with a comfortable ride quality, the new Off-Road Traction Assist along with the AWD system and traction control system helps the crossover to not only stay planted on the road but also run like a true Mazda.
