Mercedes-AMG C63 range updated

MANILA: Mercedes-Benz and AMG together have done immensely well in all the international markets. Continuing the good work, Mercedes updated the C-Class range recently, giving it a slight upgrade. However, the slight upgrade extended on the wagon, sedan, coupe, and the convertible. And it includes a revamped exterior, refreshed interior, and of course, new engines.

What’s more? Mercedes-AMG, the performance branch of the manufacturer, has now put its C63 models under the system for a change. In fact, the entire AMG C63 range has received a facelift to looks in line with the standard ones. Moreover, on the technical side, the handling of the cars have also been updated.

On the exterior end, there are slight changes that look similar to the AMG GT. This includes the addition of the 'Panamerica' grille that has vertical slats dipped in chrome. Also, the updated package includes new wheel design too.

Step inside the cabin and you will find that the setting has taken a racier turn, much more than the standard C-Class models. The steering wheel is thicker and has a new spoke design. The bucket seats are deeper now to give you a low and sporty feeling. Moreover, the interested buyers can choose between a few interior trim options like carbon fibre or aluminium.

The new updated models are powered by similar engines but have different tunings. These updates make it closely related to the AMG GT. The standard C63 is powered by a bi-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine which makes 476 PS of power and 650 Nm of torque. However, the same engine in the C63 S makes a staggering power of 510 PS along with a humongous torque of 700 Nm.

As for the transmission, the produced power is channelised to the rear wheels (standard) via a 9-speed automatic gearbox. However, the company does not offer the AWD mechanism here.
