Mercedes CLA Class 2016 Confirmed for New York Debut This Month

MANILA: We have already seen a huge lineup of Mercedes Benz vehicles for the New York Auto Show 2016, which will start from the 25th of this month. Adding to their already enormous fleet of vehicles is the facelifted Mercedes CLA class, that has been presented with both cosmetic and technological improvements. The facelift will also be applied on the AMG model of the 2016 CLA Class sedan making it look far more aggressive than the older model. From the front seem to have been carried over from the 2016 A-Class hatchback with a brand new bumper on the face. The headlamps are powered by multibeam LED clusters, along with brand new tail lights and exhaust pipes.

The facelifted CLA class will also include some significant changes to the interiors with a new instrument panel and centre console that has been enhanced with technologies such as Android Auto and CarPlay with smartphone support. The COMAND infotainment system also adds an 8-inch touchscreen panel along with chrome garnish on the control panels. The AMG version will also receive specialized racing bucket seats and AMG branded red/black garnish on the dashboard.

While hatchbacks and compact crossovers have come up as one of the main competitors to the sedan/executive vehicle segment, the effect is mostly limited to mass market brands and certainly not the Philippines. Sedans are a special crowd favorite among the Filipino buyers and when talking about a manufacturer like Mercedes Benz, there’s no doubt that the latest Mercedes CLA Class lift-back is highly anticipated in the country. Although the manufacturer has not made it clear as to when they will be launching the facelifted sedan in the Philippines but it might be sometime in 2017 according to market experts.
