MIAS 2019: Foton Gratour iM6 is here at Php 698,000

MANILA: To give the Toyota Innova a tough run for its money, Foton has finally disclosed the pricing of the 2019 Gratour iM6. While the automaker had already introduced the MPV in October 2018, the Philippine masses had to wait for quite some time for the official price of the MPV to be announced. The Foton Gratour iM6 gets a price tag of Php 698,000 and is all set to dismantle the 7-seater MPV segment.

Talking of the size of the MPV by Foton, the Gratour iM6 stands 4700 mm long, 1780 mm wide, and 1820 mm tall. The wheelbase and ground clearance of the MPV measure at 2760 mm and 168 mm, respectively.

If we compare these measurements with those of the Toyota Innova, the Foton Gratour iM6 is 25 mm taller and has a 10 mm longer wheelbase. However, the Gratour iM6 is 35 mm shorter in length and 50 mm narrower when compared to the Innova.

On the inside of the Foton Gratour iM6, we see captain seats in the first and second row along with a bench seat at the back clothed with leather. Entertainment duties are assigned to a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes equipped with Bluetooth and USB connectivity and AM/FM radio as well.

The MPV also gets a built-in dashcam that resided at the back of the rearview mirror. Trendy features like multi-info display, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, and keyless entry have also made their way to the Gratour iM6.

Coming to the mechanical aspects of the Foton Gratour iM6, the MPV gets its power from a 1.5-litre DAM15D inline-four DVVT gasoline motor that generates a maximum power of 114 PS and 150 Nm of peak torque. A five-speed manual gearbox delivers the power to the wheels.
