MANILA: Aimed to forge a strong bond with owners and communities, Chevrolet Philippines brought into the country the marque’s global slogan, “Together Let’s Drive.”

The two classic Chevrolet models that are displayed at the event are the first generations units of the Corvette and Camaro.Per the Golden Bowtie brand, the corporate tagline “embodies Chevrolet’s commitment to deep, sustained engagement with its owners and communities across generations.”
“With its storied past, Chevrolet consistently goes hand in hand with its customers, offering a blend of inspiring design, intrinsic value, and exceptional performance, all the while driving forward with groundbreaking technology and coveted features,” the company said in a statement.
Revealed during the first day of the ongoing Manila International Auto Show 2024, the aforementioned thrust is expressed at the two booths that are aptly themed “Generation Chevrolet.”
The booths were designed to inspire sharing of personal encounters with the brand and offer a chance to test drive the current models on display and win exclusive freebies.
At the World Trade Center booth, event-goers can see the first-generation Corvette sharing the spotlight with the current iteration.
The nameplate’s legacy continues to be seen in the Corvette Stingray Coupe 3LT Z51. The said version boasts the first mid-engine V8 layout of the famed badge that is paired with an eight-speed dual clutch transmission. It is also packed with today’s technological and safety features such as Performance Traction Management, Driver Assistance System, eight-inch MyLink System with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity to match the 14-speaker Bose Performance system, a wireless charging dock and a navigating system.
Meanwhile, the first- and sixth-generation Camaro is highlighted at the brand's SMX Convention Center booth. The said badge has sold over five million units since its inception in the 1960s.
Powering the sixth-generation Camaro is a 2.0-liter turbo intercooled cast-aluminum engine made with a myriad of technologies. The said version also has Stabilitrak electronic stability control and advanced anti-collision technology, four-piston Brembo brake calipers.
Joining the two famed badges at both venues are the Chevrolet Tracker, Trailblazer, Trax, Camaro, Tahoe, and Suburban.
