MIAS 2024: Here’s what to expect at the 4-day event
Brand and product reveals to be held under 2 venues starting tomorrow
MANILA: A few hours from now, gearheads are set to enjoy one of their most awaited motoring events for 2024.
The much-awaited Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2024 will be held starting tomorrow until Sunday (April 7) and throngs of event goers are expected to flock the two venues (World Trade Center Manila and SMX Convention Center).
With numerous brands and models expected to be revealed and other announcements to be shared to the public, here are some things to expect in the four-day automotive festival.
As mentioned earlier, marques that are set to take part at this year’s automotive spectacle are, BAIC (Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Company), BAW (Beijing Automotive Works), Bestune, Changan, Chery, Chevrolet, DAF, Dongfeng, Foton, GAC (Guangzhou Automobile Group Company Limited), GWM (Great Wall Motors), Hongqi, Hyundai, Hycan, JAC (Jianghuai Automobile Company Limited), Jetour, JMC (Jiangling Motors Corporation), Lynk and Co, Kinglong, MG (Morris Garages), Mitsubishi, Nissan, Omoda and Jaecoo, Peugeot, Seres, Subaru, Suzuki, and Weichai.
Led by Luis Torres since January, Astara Philippines is set to highlight the JMC Grand Avenue and Vigus; GAC Emkoo Hybrid, M8, and M6 Pro; and Peugeot 3008 and 5008; and shall launch the JAC JS4, JS6, JS8 Pro, T8 Pro and T9. The JAC Ytterby EV shall also be previewed at the event.
SAIC Motor Philippines is expected to showcase the MG One and Cyberster as well as other upcoming electric and internal combustion engine-powered nameplates that shall soon enter the Philippines market.
United Asia Automotive Group Incorporated’s (UAAGI) will display the lineup under its newly-acquired brand namely BAIC’s X5 Verve, X7 Grandeza, Series 40 Ragnar, B60 Beaumont, and Series 80 wagon and Lynk and Co’s 01 and 06.
Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines, which has yet to announce its local dealer network, shall flaunt the Omoda 5 and E5 as well as Jaecoo J7 and J8.
Motor Image Pilipinas shall also bring out the Subaru Outback XT Touring Eyesight at MIAS 2024 while Hycan will exhibit its three-car EV roster namely the V09, Z03, and A06 Plus.
The respective local arms of Suzuki and Mitsubishi Motors can be expected to display their full product lineup alongside their special promotions.
Hyundai’s local distributor will unleash the N, Korean automaker’s high-performance-bred sub brand through the motorsport-inspired version of the Elantra.
The event — dubbed, “Bridging the Future” – has various segments designed to excite gearheads of all ages as well as industry players who are seeking contacts/networks.
Those who want to fully take advantage of their access to the two sites may use the free shuttle services at the venue.
