MIAS 2024: JAC PH previews Ytterby EV

MANILA: JAC Motors Philippines has previewed the Ytterby electric vehicle (EV) at the ongoing Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2024.

The JAC Ytterby is a cute and stylish electric car that is poised to attract a wide variety of car buyers in the country.

Outside are rounded headlamps that complement the car’s simple yet sophisticated fascia. Lacking a traditional radiator grille, the JAC Ytterby has a small opening at the lower front end of the vehicle, which serves as an inlet to help cool down the components behind the latticework.

Its side profile is characterized by sexy and rounded side mirrors with a black accent, minimalist-looking flanks, flush door handles, black trims below the doors, and a two-tone wheel. The rear wears stylish lamps.

The cabin of the JAC Ytterby offers its occupants a 12.8-inch high-definition touchscreen and a panoramic sunroof among other amenities that have been designed and engineered to increase comfort for passengers on both short and long trips.

Powering the JAC Ytterby is a motor paired with a battery that can give the EV approximately 505 kilometers (km) of emissions-free driving. Just to give our readers an idea, a two-way trip from Santa Rosa, Laguna to La Union is just 350km.

The JAC Ytterby will remain on display at the brand’s booth at MIAS 2024 from today until Sunday.

To note, the JAC Ytterby is the sixth car in the Astara-led brand's initial lineup. The other five are the JS4, JS6, JS8 Pro, T8 Pro, and T9.

Astara, who also manages the brands GAC, JAC, and Peugeot in the country now heads the JMC brand. Astara’s experience in the industry will help reignite the Chinese carmaker’s presence in the country.
