MIAS 2024: Mitsubishi PH displays Triton's various setups

MANILA: Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation has brought a handful of Triton pickup trucks to the ongoing Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2024.

The local arm of the Japanese carmaker has brought to the show Mitsubishi Triton trucks with different setups to showcase the nameplate’s versatility and capability.

One of our favorites is the camper rig complete with an awning and folding chairs. What we loved about it is that it’s not expensive to build, proving that the Mitsubishi Triton can be used to enjoy the outdoors without breaking the bank.

The truck bed, in this case, can be used to haul various glamping gear such as storage boxes and coolers.

Another Mitsubishi Triton on display carried various tires, representing its ability to carry different goods should its owners decide to employ its service on various business ventures.

The replica of Team Mitsubishi Ralliart’s Asia Cross Country Rally entry was also on display at Mitsubishi’s booth at MIAS 2024.

Mitsubishi Triton quick specs

The Mitsubishi Triton has various exterior appointments designed and engineered towards rough and rugged performance. Notable features include multi-projector LED headlamps, LED front fog lights, and LED daytime running lamps.

It also gets independent wishbone suspensions with coil springs at the front and rigid leaf spring suspensions at the rear. Stopping power is facilitated by ventilated disc brakes (front) and leading and trailing drum brakes (rear).

The Mitsubishi Triton rides on 16- and 18-inch wheels — depending on the variant.

Interior amenities come in the form of a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an instrument panel with a digital display, synthetic leather seats, and a host of charging options.

Power comes from a 2.4-liter powerplant mated to either a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic transmission.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines’ booth at the four-day auto expo will be open to attendees until Sunday, April 7.

Eventgoers who will drop by the brand’s pavilion will be able to see the Mitsubishi Triton in the metal.
