MANILA: Changan Philippines has revealed four new electrified models at the ongoing Manila International Motor Show (MIAS) 2025.

    Changan Nevo Q05

    A plug-in hybrid vehicle, the Changan Nevo Q05 is equipped with a 1.5-liter BlueCore Range Extender engine mated to a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT) that sends a churn of:

    The aforementioned vehicle has the capability to switch to three electric driving modes namely Battery Electric, Hybrid, and Range Extended Electric. It also has Intelligent Energy Management (iEM), which allows the vehicle to adjust its energy consumption based on driving patterns and conditions.

    The mill has an 18.4-kilowatt-hour (kwh) battery that gives the Changan Q05 a range of up to 125 kilometers (km) in full electric (EV) mode. With the range extender, the figure goes up to 1,215 kms — reportedly the highest-rated pure electric and comprehensive range in its class.

    Sporting a minimalist design, the crossover’s exterior appointments are made up of soft and clean lines, highlighted with chrome accents, full-LED illumination,19-inch five-spoke, two-tone alloy wheels, an aerodynamic rear spoiler, and a shark fin antenna.

    One of the Chinese marque’s highly-anticipated nameplates that was revealed at the four-day motoring spectacle is the Changan Nevo Hunter K50.

    First seen at last year’s Philippine International Motor Show, the said model is a range extended electric pick-up truck shall directly compete against the likes of the BYD Shark 6 DMO (Dual Mode Off-road).

    Under the Changan Hunter K50’s hood is a 2.0-liter Turbocharged BlueCore engine that acts as an electricity generator. It has 4x2 and 4x4 options that can deliver up to:

    On pure electric, the model has a 180-km range but with the help of the range extender, as high as 1,031 kms.

    Further, the Changan Hunter K50 has a vehicle-to-load feature that can discharge power to electronic devices up to 3.3 kW external power output via dual 220-volt outlets and a 2.5-ton towing capacity.

    Its external look demands presence, thanks to its beefy body that matches the sharp body lines, borderless grill, upside down-L-shaped headlamps matte black wheel arches and 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 60-series tires.

    Changan Lumin

    Standing as the marque’s premiere mini hatchback electric vehicle offering in the country, the Changan Lumin is packed with smart and innovative appliques that are aimed at buyers who are looking for an affordable yet fun city car.

    On the exterior, the vehicle is outfitted with round halogen projector headlights and tail lights with LED position lights, hidden door handles, and 14-inch steelies with hubcaps.

    Among the creature comforts that can be found inside the car are the tri-colored cushioned seats, two-speaker sound system with Bluetooth connectivity, and seven-inch segment instrument cluster, a 104-liter trunk capacity (that can grow to as much as 580 liters when the rear seats are folded flat).

    Driving the Changan Lumin is a front-mounted motor, combined with a fixed gear transmission that can give out 47 horses and 83 Nm. It also has Eco and Sport drive modes options.

    While both have Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries, the Changan Lumin has two variations that offer differing capacities:

    • S variant: 17.65 kwh with a range of 190 kilometers
    • L trim: 28.08 kWh with a range of 301 kilometers

    Propelling the upcoming plug-in hybrid sedan is a 1.5-liter BlueCore Range Extender mated to a DHT, which — when combined — can whip out 212 hp and 330 Nm.

    Similar to Changan Q05, the A05 can switch in any of the three electric driving modes: Battery Electric, Hybrid, and Range Extended Electric and has an iEM system. With its 18.4 kWh battery, the model can cover 145 kilometers in full EV mode, and 1,250 kilometers in range extender mode.
