MIAS 2025: VinFast adds all-new VF 6 to PH lineup

MANILA: VinFast Philippines has launched the all-new VF 6 compact crossover at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) 2025. 

Per the brand, the local introduction of the all-new electric vehicle reflects its commitment to green mobility. At the same time, it supports car buyers who want to start embracing the “green lifestyle.”

“We are thrilled to launch the VF 6 at one of the Philippines’ most prestigious auto shows and contribute to the strong momentum behind green mobility,” Chief Executive Officer of VinFast Asia Pham Sanh Chau said. 

“With its smart, comfortable, and cost-efficient performance, this model is poised to become an essential part of the modern family’s sustainable lifestyle. We hope it will replicate its segment-leading success in Vietnam and receive the same enthusiastic response as seen in the European market,” Chau added.

Exterior

Appearance-wise, the VinFast VF 6 follows the Vietnamese brand’s slick design language, combined with some choice touches from the renowned studio Torino Design. 

Up front, it wears a sharp front fascia that’s capped from the bottom by a vented grille. It is also topped by a shapely hood complemented by V-shaped LED daytime running lamps flanked by a pair of LED headlamp clusters. 

Its rear, on the other hand, was decorated with a lot of angular nooks and crannies combined with a thin V-shaped LED taillights.

Interior

Inside, the VF 6 was kitted out with a leather-upholstered cabin with a wealth of creature comforts. 

Notably, it ensures passenger comfort via its automatic air-conditioning system, ventilated front seats, and a 12.9-inch central touchscreen. It likewise boasts a heads-up display, a flat-bottom leather-wrapped steering wheel, and power-adjustable front seats. 

Safety

An extensive list of its safety gear was not disclosed as of its local launch, but VinFast says that the vehicle comes equipped with a wide array of advanced driver-assist systems. It also has a total of eight airbags. 

Powertrain

Providing propulsion for the VinFast VF 6 is a single motor setup capable of generating up to 201 horsepower. For peak torque, the entry-level Eco can generate up to 250 Newton-meters (Nm), while the top-of-the-line Plus can put out 310 Nm. 

From a single full charge, the newly launched VinFast nameplate can cover up to 480 kilometers (Eco) per the New European Driving Cycle. It also has a fast-charging system capable of bringing battery levels from 10-70 percent in just 25 minutes. 

Pricing and availability

The VinFast VF 6 retails in the Philippines at P1.419 million for the Eco and P1.61 million for the top-spec Plus. 

According to the Vietnamese carmaker’s local arm, the initial deliveries for the VF 6 Eco are scheduled to commence in May 2025. 

Other VinFast MIAS 2025 highlights

Apart from launching the all-new VinFast VF 6 at MIAS 2025, the company is likewise showcasing the VF 3, VF 5, VF 7, and VF 9. Test drives at the car event are also available for the aforementioned models. 

Additionally, VinFast Philippines announced the rollout of a free charging program through its dedicated local charging network managed by Global Charging Station Development Company V-Green. The said initiative is available until May 1, 2027. 

V-Green likewise shared its intention of deploying a total of 15,000 charging ports across the country this year.
