All-electric Mini Cooper
Heralding the brand’s electrification in the Philippines, the recently unveiled all-electric Mini Cooper is powered by an electric powertrain with an electric motor installed at the front wheel axle. Together with a 54.2-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery and a single-speed automatic transmission, it puts out some 212 horsepower (hp) with 330 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.
On paper, it can zoom from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour (kph) in around 6.7 seconds. Estimated range on a single charge is around 402 kilometers.
Notable features of the all-electric Mini Cooper include LED lighting, a new triangular taillamp, and flush door handles.
It also comes with the nameplate’s iconic circular infotainment display (which measures 9.4 inches), a three-spoke steering wheel (with the third spoke being made out of a decorative fabric strap), and comfortable seats for four.
The all-electric Mini Cooper is priced at P3.3 million.
All-electric Mini Countryman
Those who need a larger, more robust electric Mini vehicle could find the answer in the all-electric Countryman.
It is propelled by dual electric motors sending emissions-free power on all four wheels. An automatic single-speed transmission with two regeneration levels gives the all-electric Mini Countryman a maximum power output of 304 hp with 494 Nm of pulling power.
Acceleration speed from zero to 100 kph is approximately 5.6 seconds while top speed is at 180 kph. Thanks to its 66.5 kWh battery, a single charge allows owners to enjoy up to 433 km of range.
Outside, the all-electric Mini Countryman boasts LED lighting, rugged yet stylish-looking wheel arches, and roof rails. The cabin is equipped with a similar 9.4-inch rounded infotainment screen and a three-spoke steering wheel. It also comes with a panoramic sunroof.
Price for the All-electric Mini Countryman is at P3.899 million.
“We are thrilled to announce that the New Mini Family has finally arrived in the Philippines.
