Mitsubishi Motors PH to open dealership in Ilocos Sur

MANILA: Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) is set to open a new dealership in Ilocos Sur soon.

This, as the Japanese automaker’s local arm — together with its dealer partner Northpoint Alliance Motor Corporation (NAMCO) — conducted the groundbreaking ceremonies on the location of the soon-to-rise facility in Bantay, Ilocos Sur.

Per MMPC, the brand’s upcoming 3S (sales, service, and spare parts) dealership in the area is the second Mitsubishi establishment in Region 1 under NAMCO — with the first one opened in Laoag, Ilocos Norte.

The soon-to-open Mitsubishi facility dealership in Bantay will provide customers in Ilocos Sur and nearby areas with easier access to the marque's local offerings, services, and after-sales care.

According to MMPC, the said expansion reflects “NAMCO’s commitment to continuous growth and Mitsubishi Motors’ dedication to reaching out to more Filipinos.”

“With this expansion, we hope to strengthen our ties with the community and contribute to the economic progress of the region,” MMPC Executive Vice President for Corporate Division Tomoyasu Moriya was quoted as saying.

To be created with a spacious showroom, service bays, and genuine spare parts and accessories shop, the upcoming Mitsubishi dealership in Ilocos Sur is expected to be fully operational come the initial quarter of 2025.

Leading the groundbreaking rites for the forthcoming dealership were Morita and NAMCO President Johanson Chua. The two were joined by Ilocos Sur Governor Jeremias Singson and Ilocos Vice Governor Ryan Singson.

“This new dealership is a testament to our belief in the strength of the Mitsubishi brand and our commitment to providing top-notch service to our patrons,” Chua noted.
