Mitsubishi produces nearly 401K vehicles in May 2024 YTD

MANILA: Mitsubishi Motors Corporation shared it saw a production volume of 400,913 units for the first five months of 2024.

Out of the aforementioned figure, 199,804 vehicles were made in overseas production facilities, while 201,109 units were produced in Japan. 

Mitsubishi also said that of the total vehicle production outside its home country, 36,217 of which were made in Asia; 17,467 were from Thailand, and 9,803 units came from  Indonesia. 

As a side note, Mitsubishi likewise sold 4,059 units of minicars (kei cars) in Japan in May 2024 alone. Within the same period, the brand sold 50,181 units in its home country. 

The automotive company likewise exported 91,196 vehicles in 2024 so far, with 17,304 units counted from May 2024 alone. 

Recently, the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Incorporated (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) disclosed Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation’s sales May 2024 sales figures, totaling 35,146 units.
