“In this all-new model, we have further evolved the design to meet the needs of the compact SUV market, which has been growing in recent years. In addition to the robustness and powerfulness characteristic of Mitsubishi Motors, we have pursued a design that is more stylish, energetic, and distinctive than ever,” Mitsubishi Motors Corporation Design Division General Manager Seiji Watanabe stated.

The stylish yet strong SUV design, which is based on the Silky & Solid design concept, blends elegance and toughness, creating a styling that establishes a dominating presence in landscapes from ASEAN cities to the wide outdoors. With a floating roof and a smooth surface that starts from the three-diamond symbol up front and extends along the side to the rear, the upper half of the body exudes an airy silkiness.
The lower part of the body adopts the robust and muscular proportions of an SUV. A top-notch ground clearance of 222mm as well as 18-inch wheels and large-diameter tires boost road handling on rough terrain, while the imposing fender flares reflect agility.
The Dynamic Shield front face has transformed in accordance with the design concept. Here, the front grille, which represents the performance of the engine, is shielded by left and right bumpers that are three-dimensionally integrated to produce a dynamic front face with a sense of depth. The SUV is easily recognized as a Mitsubishi model, even from afar, thanks to the LED daytime running lights, which combine an L-shape with slitted accents to radiate light in an iconic T-shape. This design also highlights the vehicle's width.
On the body sides, the muscular surfaces, sculpted fender flares, and character lines integrate seamlessly to convey the SUV's strength and power. The rear looks broad and robust thanks to the LED tail lights' adoption of the same T-shaped form as the front.
