The Minicab EV features a monobox design and the latest version of electric parts, such as motor and drive battery. It has a cruise range of 180 kilometers on a single charge, up by almost 35 percent over the previous model. A standard charging at AC200V takes around 7.5 hours, while fast charging allows for the battery to be charged to up to 80 percent in just 42 minutes.
With a maximum torque of 195 Newton-meters delivered instantaneously by the new electric motor, the vehicle maintains its powerful and smooth performance even when it is fully loaded with cargo. For improved quietness, the new motor and inverter have been combined into a single unit.
To improve passenger comfort and minimize cabin sway, the front and rear shock absorbers’ damping performance has also been enhanced.
The new Minicab EV also comes standard with active safety technologies such as forward collision mitigation system, lane departure warning, automatic high beam, and ultrasonic mis-acceleration mitigation system. Hill start assist has also been included to prevent the vehicle from rolling backwards when starting on a steep incline.
In times of disasters or other emergencies, the Minicab EV can provide power to electronic devices and appliances. There is a power outlet at the rear of the floor console so that electricity can be drawn from the vehicle at any time. The Minicab EV also comes with Type C and Type A USB ports as well as a wireless charging pad.
The Minicab EV is available in two- and four-seater variants, priced at ¥2.431 million (approximately P909,000) and ¥2.486 million (approximately P930,000), respectively.
