In particular, the company was recognized by Forbes Asia for its green initiatives. For example, it previously made a move to invest in a fleet consisting entirely of emissions-free electric vehicles (EV). It already has 60 EV delivery vehicles, which include all-electric trucks and vans. By the end of 2024, it is aiming to grow its EV fleet to 238 units.
Forbes Asia also noted the company’s development and utilization of a proprietary battery management system (BMS) to support its EV fleet. Per the corporation, its BMS was designed to optimize its operations through efficient route planning and delivery scheduling. The said system likewise provides the logistics firm with better resource management, reduced carbon output, and less energy consumption.
Mober also divulged its future plans to create a network of charging stations spanning from Pasay City to Tacloban City in the province of Leyte. Under the aforementioned initiative, chargers will be positioned every 150 to 200 kilometers to support the expansion of its delivery operations.
As the company reported, its sustainability projects will be funded by a $6 million-investment from Clime Capital’s South East Asia Clean Energy Facility II and a $2 million investment from RP Heptagon Holdings.
Beyond its engagements in forming an environmentally friendlier enterprise, the logistics provider was also noted by Forbes’ Asia-based arm for its progressive way of doing business. Specifically, it boasts a widely diverse workforce. It has also sought inclusivity in its hiring process by training female drivers and assemblers.
For those unfamiliar, Mober was founded in July 2015. Its largest clients within the country include IKEA Philippines, the SM Appliance Center, Nestle Philippines, Nespresso, Maersk, and Kuehne+Nagel.
