MPT South continues safety campaign with latest Drayberks seminar at PITX
A part of the company’s ongoing road safety initiative
MANILA: Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPT South), a subsidiary of the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation, has continued its safety campaign with the latest round of its “Drayberks" Road Safety Seminar.

The Drayberks Road Safety Seminar initiative is spearheaded by MPT South, a subsidiary of the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation.The latest seminar session was held at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) on August 27, 2024. It was attended by 65 public utility vehicle drivers, as well as drivers of jeepneys, class 1 and class 2 vehicles.
MPT South Head of Traffic Operations Carlo Hipol led the educational event at PITX. He covered topics such as road safety practices, traffic awareness, and toll operations. The company likewise organized a question and answer session during the said event.
“Our goal in this seminar is to help reduce accidents in the expressway by imparting the importance for drivers to be concerned for their well-being and the wellbeing of other road users and equipping them with vital information on proper driving along the expressways, vehicle roadworthiness, and opening their consciousness to the responsibility of the role they play in being part of a mobile society,” Vice President for Communications and Stakeholder Management of MPT South Arlette Capistrano said.
Per the tollway concessionaire, the aforementioned seminar’s theme is “Alerto Kada Kilometro (Alert for every kilometer).” To note, it is an ongoing program with multiple events spread throughout the year, and it was launched as a part of the company’s celebrations for National Road Safety Month in May.
The previous seminar session under the said program was held by MPT South last July for the employees of TAS Trans Corporation and Erjohn and Almark Transit Corporation.
Recently, the tollway company also launched a new book to further promote road safety. Titled “Bayani Ka: Bayani ng Kalsada Book 2 (You are a hero: Hero of the Road Book 2), it primarily targets young readers.
