NISMO celebrates 40th anniversary with iconic car display

MANILA: Nissan Motorsports International Corporation Limited (NISMO) is currently displaying its rare and historically significant cars to celebrate its 40th anniversary.

Per Nissan, the lineup includes the ultra-rare NISMO 270R and 400R. Both are high-performance road-legal beasts derived from the Silvia S14 and Skyline GT-R R33, respectively. Only 50 units for the 270R and 44 units for the 400R were ever produced.
Likewise exhibited at the gallery is the R390 GT1, which claimed third place at the 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Calsonic Skyline GT-R Group A, which competed in the Japan Touring Car Championship, and the 24 Hours of Daytona-winning R91CP.
Modern vehicles such as the NISMO versions of the Z, Aura, and Ariya are currently on display as well.

Our longstanding ethos of track to road, continues with our Super GT and Formula E factory racing programs,” NISMO Business Unit President Takao Katagiri said.
For those unaware, NISMO was founded as a company on September 17, 1984. As Katagiri mentioned, Nissan’s high-performance division is currently engaged in Super GT and Formula E.
In the all-electric Formula E racing series, NISMO is set to roll out its latest “GEN4” cars in 2026. The company’s current Super GT car, meanwhile, is the Z GT500.
