Nissan brings out the NV350 Urban Chrome edition in Japan
MANILA: The Nissan Urvan is both known and made for transporting people and stuff from one place to the other. However, being a van shouldn't cut the Nissan NV350 off from the world of glamour and attractiveness, should it? Well, Nissan firmly believes that the NV350 deserves as much flair as other vehicles in its lineup. For serving the NV350 with its due share of appeal and sensuousness, the Japanese automobile manufacturer has released the NV350 ‘Urban Chrome’ edition in Japan.
Nissan calls this unique trim the "Premium GX Urban Chrome" edition and the van, even in its most glamorous avatar to date, keeps its USPs intact. The outside of the Nissan NV350 Urban Chrome comes dipped in Phantom Black and features a few new elements and trim pieces. For starters, there is the new V-motion setup at the front instead of the traditional grille. The brand-new grille is finished in chrome and flanked by a pair of lightly upswept LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs. Sitting below the large headlights are the fog lamps that are placed in vertically stacked air-vents.
Other chrome elements on the outside of the Nissan NV350 Urban Chrome edition include side rearview mirrors, door trims, and a few other pieces on the tailgate. The van rides on 15-inch aluminum wheels and gets under guards at both front and back. On the inside, the stuff is pretty much identical to the other standard variants of the NV350. While there is no leather upholstery and the use of hard plastic is quite high, the NV350 Urban Chrome edition does feature the Nissan's Intelligent Around View Monitor. Oh yes, there is also the "Urban Chrome" emblem at the back of the van.
Nissan has made no mechanical changes to the NV350 Urban Chrome edition, and the van should be receiving power from the same old 2.5-liter YD25DDTi turbo-diesel or the 2.0-liter QR20DE gasoline mill. The safety equipment is also unaltered with the likes of multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, intelligent emergency brakes, and other safety features onboard. Nissan Philippines, if you are reading this story, you better do something similar with the Philippine-spec NV350 Urvan sooner than later.
