Nissan Caloocan bound to open in 2020

MANILA: Nissan Philippines is on a mission to make the brand accessible to more Filipinos. In a recent groundbreaking ceremony, the Japanese carmaker officially started the construction of Nissan Caloocan together with AutoSpeedyGo.

“Today is an important milestone for Nissan as we bring ‘innovation that excites’ to more areas in the Philippines,” said Atsushi Najima, President and Managing Director of Nissan Philippines.

Najima broke ground with Nissan Asia & Oceania’s Vice President for Dealer Network Development, Shinichi Koyoma; and two officials from AutoSpeedyGo - Chairman and Chief Financial Officer, Dexter Co, and Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer Vincent Licup.

The Nissan Caloocan groundbreaking ceremony took place in an empty 605 sq. meter lot in the region. It will be the site of a one-story showroom and service area for customers. Once it opens, it will be Nissan’s first dealership in the city and 45th in the country.

“We are excited to see another dealership in this location, and bring the Nissan brand of superior product quality, excellent parts and aftersales service, and thoughtful customer care to the people here,” Najima added.

Nissan Philippines Inc. (NPI) is the sole distributor of Nissan vehicles in the country. It started its operations in 2014 and has since become one of the Philippines’ fastest-growing car companies. In fact, the Japanese company experienced a 58 percent growth from 2017 to 2018.

Earlier this year, the automaker re-opened a 700 sq. meter showroom in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. It was redesigned with the Nissan Retail Concept (NCR), so it looks visually similar to the brand’s global retail identity.

Nissan Caloocan is set to open in 2020, with AutoSpeedyGo being the official dealer of Nissan vehicles, car parts, and services in the city. Apart from having a Nissan Retail Concept, it might have enough room to showcase Nissan’s entire line-up, including NP300 Navara, Terra, Almera, NV350 Urvan, GT-R, Juke, X-Trail, Patrol Royale, and Sylphy.
