Nissan global design team launches #DrawDrawDraw campaign
MANILA: The Nissan global design team has officially launched its #DrawDrawDraw social campaign for the auto brand’s global community of artists.
The artworks for the #DrawDrawDraw campaign are shown on the link here. Nissan provides 23 downloadable and newly designed coloring pages that feature the well-loved classic cars of Nissan, its current models, some futuristic ideas, and a few "cult classic" models like the Nissan ChoiMobi and Nissan Figaro. The designers of Nissan worldwide made the pages during the past few weeks, as people followed stay-at-home recommendations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to senior vice president for global design Alfonso Albaisa, drawing is one of the best approaches to deal with the creative impulses in the mind of a person, and the necessity to make it a reality.
The team of global designers of Nissan is using this opportunity to unveil creative ideas, draw, and dream extensively. The masterpieces of most people may come from the trials that the world is facing due to the coronavirus pandemic. Thus, this is the foremost reason why the global design team of the auto brand conceptualized a creative outlet for people to unleash their artistic abilities.
Albaisa introduced this initiative through a video from home, with the help of his two young sons. He showed what he was drawing and the reason why he was doing it.
The team of designers from Nissan will also include new videos in the next few weeks to discuss a few essential topics. These topics include tips for those who want to be involved in the auto business, their stories as car designers, their artworks, and design inspirations.
Albaisa also added that the motivation for this social campaign came from Giovanny Arroba, the designer of Nissan who conceptualized the recently launched Ariya Concept vehicle. They asked advice from Arroba regarding strategies to become a car designer. He told the design team of Nissan to draw like crazy consistently.
Nissan requests people to tag their drawings, which may include napkin sketches, sidewalk art, and downloaded coloring book images, using the hashtag, #DrawDrawDraw.
Albaisa pointed out that they are looking forward to the brand’s celebration of creativity and passion. Individuals should not be surprised if they see a Nissan designer place comments on their masterpieces.
