Nissan Juke attains a perfect 5-star safety rating at Euro NCAP
MANILA: The highly revamped Nissan Juke was, at last, introduced in September 2019. Following the unveiling of the now not so quirky crossover, the fanboys in the Philippines have been waiting eagerly for Nissan Philippines to launch the second-generation model in the country sooner than later. And, Nissan has confirmed that the Juke will be landing on the Philippine shores sometime later this year.
Anyway, with still some time to go for the arrival of the next-gen Juke, there's good news for the Filipinos awaiting the crossover. In the recently concluded European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP), the 2020 Nissan Juke has clinched on to a perfect 5-star safety rating. The crossover managed to attain high scores in all the crash tests and safety departments thanks to the ultra-high-strength steel that the automaker has used in building the Juke. Also, the material enhances the rigidity and allows the force of an impact to be absorbed and dissipated before reaching the passenger safety cell.
Speaking of the safety equipment on board, the 2020 Nissan Juke gets the high-end Nissan Intelligent Mobility suite that comprises of the likes of the Nissan ProPILOT, Blind Spot Intervention, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. Moreover, the standard safety features include multiple SRS airbags, ABS with EBD & BA, ISOFIX child seat mounts, autonomous emergency braking, and much more.
The scores sheet reads 94% in adult occupant protection, 85% in child occupant protection, 81% in vulnerable road users protection, and 73% in Safety Assist. In comparison, the previous Juke could only manage 87% in adult occupant, 81% in child occupant protection, 41% in vulnerable road users protection, and 71% in safety assist.

So, with the 2020 Nissan Juke now a better looking and also a much safer car than the outgoing model, you all quirky crossover fanatics must be highly excited to get your hands on the new Juke as soon as it arrives in the Philippines, right?
