MANILA: Nissan Philippines’ Leaf electric vehicle has provided power for the snack station during the holiday activity it staged together with the local wing of consumer electronics brand realme and Make-A-Wish Foundation Philippines.

    For realme Philippines’ part, the tech company donated smartphones, tablets, and accessories to the children and staff of the foundation.

    The kids, together with select members from the tech media and representatives from realme Philippines, were also treated to a trip to Art in Island, Asia's biggest 3D museum.

    The said event was the second leg of realme Philippines' Holiday-themed CSR caravan.

    In previous years, the Nissan Leaf was used to power Christmas trees in various locations around the country. Examples of said initiatives include the lighting of the holiday tree in Ormoc City.

    The Philippine-market Nissan Leaf is equipped with an alternating current synchronous electric motor paired with a single-speed reduction gear transmission. It draws power from a 40-kilowatt-hour laminated lithium-ion battery and produces as much as 147 horsepower with 320 Newton-meters of torque.

    The said electric powertrain setup offers approximately 311 kilometers of emissions-free driving on a single charge.

    Nissan has slapped the Leaf with a sticker price of P1.998 million.
