Nissan PH donates 4,000 meal packs to PGH frontliners
MANILA: Nissan Philippines recently donated 4,000 meal packs to medical frontliners fighting the COVID-19 pandemic at the Philippine General Hospital (PGH).
With the help of the members of Urvan Pilipinas car club, the meal packs were delivered to the healthcare workers in the hospital.
The donation drive was graced by PGH Director Gerardo “Gap” Legaspi who personally received the meal donations. The meals were handed out to the PGH staff, doctors, and nurses who are working hard to take care of the COVID-19 patients and facilitate vaccinations.
In a statement, Nissan Philippines President and Managing Director Atsushi Najima said, “We continue to pay tribute to our healthcare workers who are dedicated in face this pandemic as part of our vision to enrich people's lives. We want to give our support to our communities especially in any way we can during these challenging times, especially those who share our bold and daring spirit to overcome odds.”
Nissan Philippines previously donated meal packs to medical frontliners across several medical facilities in Metro Manila, including the Research Institute of Tropical Medicine (RITM). Nissan dealerships have also organized similar programs to recognize the hard work of the healthcare workers in their communities.
