Nissan PH rolls out Leaf EV in Davao
MANILA: After its arrival in the country last month, the Nissan Leaf makes its way down south. It's now offered in Nissan dealerships in Tagum City, Davao del Norte and Matina, Davao City.
Through the partnership with Gateway Motors Group, the exclusive distributor of the Nissan Leaf in the country, the world’s first mass market electric vehicle (EV) is also currently available at Nissan Mantrade Makati, Nissan Otis, and Nissan Cebu South-V. Rama.
Each Nissan EV dealership has specialized facilities and is employed with certified and trained experts to cater to the needs of the Nissan Leaf customers. All Nissan EV dealerships are equipped with charging stations that are capable of fully charging a Nissan Leaf in just 40 to 60 minutes. Nissan Leaf owners can exclusively use the charging stations for free.
Nissan continues to expand its nationwide EV charging station network in all three major island groups in the Philippines. During the local launch of the Leaf, Nissan Philippines announced that it will be making the EV available in up to seven dealerships within the year.
In a statement, Nissan Philippines President and Managing Director Atsushi Najima said, “We are committed in making our EV technology more accessible to more areas in the Philippines, from Luzon, to Visayas and Mindanao. With the reach of our EV dealerships and the support of our dedicated and passionate personnel, we are off to an optimistic start for this new chapter in the company's electrification strategy.”
In parallel, Gateway Motors Group Chairman Markane Goho stated, “We are excited to be part of this EV journey with Nissan. We share their vision of a smarter, sustainable, and exciting future of mobility, and honored to be a pioneer EV dealership group in the country.”
Every purchase of Nissan Leaf comes with a three-year or 100,000-km vehicle warranty and an eight-year of 160,000-km battery warranty. The Nissan Leaf is priced at P2.798 million.
Nissan Tagum is located along the National Highway, Brgy. Canocotan, Tagum City, Davao del Norte. Meanwhile, Nissan Matina is situated along MacArthur Highway, Brgy. Ma-a, Davao City.
