Nissan Philippines awards its best technicians in NISTEC-NISAC competition
MANILA: Nissan Philippines honors its technicians and service advisors with by holding the Nissan Service Technician Excellence Competency (NISTEC) and Nissan Service Advisor Excellence Competency (NISAC) national competitions. The NISTEC-NISAC competition is held globally in all countries where Nissan operates and has been ongoing for over 20 years.
Nissan Motor Philippines first held the event back in 2012 where technicians and service advisors compete in how they provide overall satisfaction for customers through skills tests.
The NISTEC-NISAC competitions are now held in the country every two years, allowing the technicians and advisors to showcase their knowledge and skills in after-sales services. This year, Nissan dealerships from across the country participated in the event.
Besides encouraging some healthy competition, the ultimate aim of the competition is to provide an opportunity for Nissan’s technicians and advisors to improve their skills and capabilities. A pre-qualifying round involves rigorous sets of examinations, with only a handful of finalists emerging for the final competition.
Nissan Philippines president and managing director Atsushi Najima mentioned during the competition how the NISTEC-NISAC event becomes a way for Nissan to strengthen and prove their skills in bringing satisfaction to customers. He also expressed Nissan’s dedication to exceeding customer expectations by providing excellent customer service. Najima also shared with the technicians and advisors present at the event how this dedication is what continues to win Nissan its loyal customer base as well as the admiration for Nissan as a brand.
Nino Bryan Villafuerte from Nissan Cebu Central bagged the NISTEC National Champion Award. While the NISAC category was won by Japhey Calabon from Nissan Bacolod. Besides receiving certifications and prizes, the two will have the opportunity to represent the Philippines in a regional competition with national champions from other countries in Asia and Oceania. The regional event will be held in early 2020.
Other technicians and service advisors that were honored are Monico Nazareno, Nissan Dumaguete Service Advisor; ZaldyMari Caparas,Nissan Shaw Mandaluyong Service Advisor; Dennis Estrella,Nissan North EDSA Service Advisor; Fejun Abello,Nissan Isabela Service Advisor; Argie Sagragao, Nissan Butuan Service Advisor; Reynante Cortez, Nissan Cabanatuan Service Technician; Kier Gabriel Ojenar,Nissan Commonwealth Service Technician; Rommel Perez,Nissan Iloilo Service Technician; Jayfort Santiago, Nissan Pasig City Service Technician; and Billy Joe Burgos, Nissan Dasmariñas Service Technician.
