Nissan stages special exhibit to celebrate 90th anniversary

MANILA: Nissan Motor Corporation is staging a special exhibit at its global headquarters to celebrate its 90th anniversary.

According to the Japanese carmaker, the exhibit — which will run until December 27 — is currently being held at the Nissan Walk located between Yokohama Station’s East Exit and the Minatomirai area where thousands of people pass through regularly.

On that note, the Yokohama-based carmaker deemed it the perfect place to showcase its illustrious past and its ambitions for the future.

“The exhibit highlights Nissan’s history chronologically. Each segment presents a decade of epoch-making events, pioneering technologies, and notable cars along with the social context of each era. The Minatomirai side of the 75-meter timeline begins with the establishment of Nissan, while the Yokohama Station side concludes with the company’s plans for the future,” Nissan wrote in a press release.

In addition to the exhibit, Nissan is also staging a 90th-anniversary event until January 8 to show Nissan’s appreciation for all the people and communities that have supported it for so many years.

Nissan was founded on December 26, 1933.
