Oil firms to end fuel price slide streak tomorrow

MANILA: Fuel companies in the Philippines are set to implement a price hike this week — ending the series of rollbacks that were conducted since the start of the month.

In addition, Caltex, Petron, and Seaoil will also add P1 per liter on the retail price of kerosene.
The first price hike for the month August — which other firms are expected to apply — shall take effect tomorrow (August 20).
Last week, local players slashed gasoline prices by P2.45 per liter, diesel by P1.90 per liter, and kerosene by P2.40 per liter.
