Omoda, Jaecoo execs visit PH consulate in China to discuss plans in local auto sector
MANILA: An executive delegation from Omoda and Jaecoo, led by Chery International General Manager of East Europe and Asia Pacific Region Jeff Liu, visited the Philippine Consulate General in Shanghai, China.

28 percent of the country's greenhouse gas emissions come from the transportation sector. Because of this, the government is actively pushing market-driven policies for electric vehicles and the electrification of transportation. These projects are well-aligned with the strategies of Omoda and Jaecoo for forward-thinking technology leadership and environmentally friendly, low-carbon development.
“With abundant nickel and lithium resources, the Philippines holds a resource advantage for new energy vehicle brands looking to invest and establish manufacturing bases, and will provide corresponding policy support. We hope to deepen our energy advantages with Omoda and Jaecoo’s expertise in automobile manufacturing, to jointly stimulate the robust growth of the new energy vehicle industry,” Rodolfo stated.
Omoda and Jaecoo aim to strengthen their market position in the Philippines by offering a diverse range of cutting-edge smart drive and urban off-road vehicles. Their objective is to cater to the transportation needs of the Filipinos and promote a higher standard of automotive consumption. The two Chinese car brands will also hire more Filipino personnel in order to nurture professional skills in the local automotive industry.
Liu thanked the Philippine government for recognizing the Omoda and Jaecoo brands. “We will actively respond to the Philippine government's drive to modernize the automotive industry and transform green mobility. We will continue to explore the implementation of new energy technologies, empower our products with high performance and energy efficiency, adhere to the concept of technology inclusiveness, and create affordable electric vehicles for the people of the Philippines,” he said.
