Omoda units arrive in PH, retails ops to start in Q4 2024

MANILA: Omoda and Jaecoo Philippines (OJPH) shall commence its retail operations in the country within the final quarter of the year.

In a statement, OJPH shared that the units—to be delivered in outlets that will open in September to November 2024 — are made up of the Omoda 5 and E5.
OJPH claimed that the Omoda 5 crossover can go 100 kilometers per hour (kph) from standstill in 7.8 seconds and features an "Art in Motion" design with its matrix grille, 18-inch black wheels, and a dynamic fastback profile.
On the other hand, the Omoda E5, which is the brand’s entry in the local electric vehicle category consumes 15.5 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per 100 kilometers (km). It has a 61-kWh battery that lets the vehicle cover as much as 430 km when fully juiced up.
The company added that those who want to test-drive and pre-order the units can visit the mall displays in SM Aura Premier, Ayala Mall Feliz, Ayala Malls Circuit Makati, Ayala Malls Glorietta, Evia Lifestyle Center, and Ayala Alabang Town Center, starting mid-September. The first 100 buyers will also receive a special package care from OJPH Philippines.
“The arrival of these vehicles is the first step in solidifying the presence of Omoda and Jaecoo in the Philippine market. The Omoda 5 and Omoda E5 aim to give Filipinos a taste of automotive engineering that’s unique to Omoda and Jaecoo,” Omoda and Jaecoo Motor Philippines Incorporated Country Director Marco Chen was quoted as saying.
“To exhibit our commitment to bringing the DNA of our brand’s innovation to the Philippines, we’re also excited to announce that other Omoda and Jaecoo cars such as the Omoda 3, Omoda 7, and Jaecoo J6 are also scheduled to arrive in the Philippines. The arrival date and pricing of these models will be announced soon,” he added.
Further, the firm added that its vehicles shall be packaged with a seven-year or 200,000-kilometer bumper-to-bumper warranty. The engine, however, comes with a 10-year or one million km.
To recall, OJPH has already partnered with DB Schenker to host the vehicles’ spare parts in a local warehouse.
Back in early 2023, Carmudi Philippines reported the company’s announcement for its official debut. Additionally, the OJPH already had its initial units delivered intended for pre-launch and previews.
Moreover, OJPH also participated in the Manila International Auto Show 2024.
